Veszelyite with Hemimorphite

Recorded under neon light

Recorded under neon light

MTR47CD3: Classic example of secondary mineralization with elements such as Cu and Zn, formed by supergene alteration. On a rock matrix covered by botryoidal Hemimorphite crystals of a uniform bluish green color, aggregates of very lustrous crystals of a much deeper blue tone, almost electric-blue, of Veszelyite, a rare copper-zinc phosphate, have been deposited.
In this case they exhibit good definition of the crystals, which is not very common in specimens from this find.
